Why does it have to be through otheros? It would be much easier to just get a 3.55 update and use that...

Just get a 3.55 .PUP file, and, put it on a thumb drive in the proper folder, and, upgrade it via system update....no need to install it via other os. Just be careful that you don't let it download 4.11...

Download the official 3.55 FW and update it via USB and then install the 3.55 CFW of your choice. I don't know much about updating via other OS, but it seems like it will take you longer.
