if i jailbreak my system then transfer a back up onto it what will happen?

if you back up all those pkg files they wont work on 3.56+ anyway and then theres the problem where a 3.56+ ps3 wont accept a back up that was made on a jailbroken ps3 any way. SOOOOOO you need to buy another ps3 OR you can buy an e3 flasher and swich between firmwares.

Just a little pointer if you haven't done anything yet.
If you use up all your patches right now and make backups of your PS3, I would say back everything up.

If you want to host pre-1.13 patches on MW2, just upload the patch for it and make it a backup through the PS3 system settings. Repeat as you want.
If you want to use it as a file storage, then do what I did. Have around 200GB full of music and such that you want to save and make that a backup.

Other than this, I suggest buying a new PS3 instead of investing in an E3 Flasher or anything. It's up to you and how much you're willing to spend I guess.
