Just don't know how you get the mods onto the bypass , because usually you have to delete the patch to get on the bypass , it's just really confusing me, I would really appreciate any ideas or help

Hey man I had the same problem, you should watch this video. It might solve your problem.




instead of downloading a 1.12 patch you need to install the 1.13 pkg. By installing the 1.13 pkg it bypass you from installing the original 1.13 patch.

dude using the bypass without any patch... will get you nowhere, where would you put your modified patch ??

you need a jailbroken ps3 and a 4.11 ps3 so you can install the MW2 1.11 update PKG file, which then you can replace the original patch_mp.ff file with your modified patch_mp.ff which then you can data transfer the patch(update) from your jailbroken ps3 to your 4.11

which then you would need to bypass your online ps3 so you can host mw2 challenge lobbies(you can only play with people using the bypass)

best option is to transfer your 1.11 modified patch_mp.ff over to the 1.13 patch replacing the original patch then delete the default_mp.self file, you can host them on 1.13

You still need a modified patch but youd need to use it conjunction with a patchblocker, why would you want to bypass if your using a 1.13 patch though ? They work fine online and in private, the only reason youd need to bypass is if youd wanna use an older GSC patch under 1.12

I understand where your coming from but when you bypass normally on a ps3 a patch is automatically put on the ps3 which is obviously the base patch for mw2 , could I edit patches in this etc. or does this not contain the correct files, ( I have got two ps3's so I can transfer ) and tbh I preferr doing modded lobby's on bypass so I don't upset anyone who is a try hard . And I don't want to do the 1.11 package file either because I want my friends without mods to join also, do you understand, do you think my method above would work , thanks for quick feedback

Are you asking if you can host patches without jailbreak?
