if i change hard disc my ps3 firmware well be changed?

if i want data transfer i must put about 10GB free space? , if i dont it freeze , U?

No because the ps3 firmware is stored on the NAND Chip.

Firmwares are stored on the nand/nor so think of your HDD as a jacket and your firmware as a person, if you switch jackets with a doctor it doesnt make you a Dr and yes theres a certain amount of room you need when installing a HDD. The playstations operating system chews up roughly 7-10 gbs and whatevers left is freespace.
