Now ive read installing the QA flaggin CFW formats the hard drive, no problem, my question is if i restore the backup data on the QA CFW will it be exactly the same or will it lose some files/data bc of the new firmware? thanks

no it doesn't wipe your hard drive you just install the qa pkg then if it beeps twice or once it works if not turn off PlayStation and then do the qa flag button combination but hover over network settings
