Ok, so a few weeks back, I wanted to play GTA IV. I set it up as normal, then when it gets onto the loading animations screen, it just loops and the sound stops. I decided to try to find a fix for it today, I found one which said delete the update, so I deleted the update, and tried loading up. It seemed as though it was going well, as it loaded up the animations and began the "Installing to Hard Drive" bar. About 2 hours later, I noticed it hadn't loaded any further, so I quit the game and the 2 beeps happened on the PS3 (second video). It then crashes the PS3 and then turns back on.

Basically, I'm asking, what the hell is causing this problem & can it be fixed?
I'm running 4.20 ofw if that helps. I jailbroke the PS3 way back on 3.55, but never even went on GTA IV, or touched anything to do with it. It loaded up perfectly normal about a month or so ago, and it hasn't loaded up right since then. I'm pretty sure it isn't the disc being scratched, as it would be all jumpy, which it isn't - it runs fluidly.
I had the same problem to day after it froze i switched off my ps3 and gave the disc a really good clean then started installing game data again and it worked
hope this works for you too

it happened to my friends ps3 with cod 4, try the game on a friends system to see if it's the console
I wouldn't think it's the console, as other games (Black Ops, Fallout, fifa, etc) all work without a hitch on it. But it's worth a try. I'll try it on my mates PS3 asap :y:
