(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have a phat ps3, 60 gig, hacked it way back when the first hack that you could use an ipod touch to do was relased. I have a bunch of games, and programs on the ps3 still, such as multiMAN, File manager, blackb0x, lv2 patcher, wipe history, fix file permissions, etc. But I unhacked my ps3 a while ago so I could play online freely when it was not so easy. I'd like to re hack my ps3 or at least be able to access these things that I already have loaded onto it. Is there any way to make this possible? Without paying? Like the title implies I'm on 4.20 by the way.

In short, no. You would need to purchase a flasher , solder it, and downgrade which is pretty difficult.

Not for free. You'd need to buy a progskeet. If you are handy at soldering, and have some extra 26 awg wire and an iron, that's all you'd need to buy. Otherwise, progskeet sells clips that you can buy that eliminate the soldering.

Are people working on a method like the old ones with itouch or calculator? Or is something like that forever out of the picture?

There is no known way to downgrade a ps3 that is on 3.56 or newer without a hardware flasher such as e3 or progskeet. And, the newest model ps3's can't even be downgraded with anything.
