(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have been playing ps3 for many years. I am on 4.20 firmware and I understand I cannot downgrade from this.
So the only other option is to buy a 3.55 firmware ps3? If this is the case would I need anything else with it or would I be good to go?
And all I really play is call of duty and fifa so in your opinion would it be worth it, yes I do play it a lot
Final thing can someone link me somewhere I could buy one safe. Thanks all help is welcome

Having a PS3 on cfw is far more useful than just gaming. Look into the ps3 hacks section here and there is a ton of info and tips on it.
If you can get a 3.55 fw ps3 do so.

You can downgrade using a proskeet or an e3 flasher. If you want to get somthing that would work well with that you should get an e3 card reader as you can put the consol COMPLETLY back to 3.55 OFW with no problems such as not being able to use rebug 3.55.2.

Oh I didn't know they still work but don't they involve opening up your ps3 etc? I will not be able to do this as if I did something wrong I think I would be killed lol. And what exactly would I need to do it?
I also forgot to mention I would be using this to host lobbys in mw2 would this be possible with just one?

Um yer you might need two to host but I am not sure on that. If you NOR chip ps3 you dont need to solder and it can be easy if you follow this tutorial carefully

If you have a NAND chip i think that you need to solder it and that is risky. Check here to see if you have a NAND or NOR PS3 You must login or register to view this content.

Wow thanks for taking the effort to send me these, I watched the full video as it is the same ps3 as the one I currently own and I thought I had to solder it but I guess not.
But honestly if I cannot host mw2 lobbys off of one ps3 there is not much point in doing it for me.

Yeah but the e3 flasher alone is $80 I can't afford another ps3 along with that haha.
