(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello NGU, thank you for your time in viewing my thread Gobble

Recently i have seen soo many threads about bypassing from 4.11 onto 3.55.

This is impossible unless you have another ps3 on 3.55 and that ps3 is mostly likely FAT.

Please dont hate or groan this thread its just to clear this section up from people wondering if its possible to hack the ps3 on 4.11

At this point in time its impossible, well not impossible but nobody has the brain power for that to figure it out at the moment.

Here are some link that could answer your questions:

To get a CFW on 4.11 you need Keys, Keys that Sony have so unless you work for Sony then i wouldn't hold your breath on getting them. The Package files need to be signed so that the system notices them.

If someone can come up with a program to sign package files then woohoo we are in luck but you have to be a really experienced programmer/coder to do this.

Experienced i dont mean editing a few patches i mean knowing and reading up on this type of stuff.

Keys:

1- Key: A7 0B 81 5A 47 AC 66 F9 7A A6 E7 CA 80 5B 22 19 08 C7 B3 5E 2A 8C F5 A7 23 78 1A 0E D0 84 11 F5

2- Key: A7 0B 81 5A 47 AC 66 F9 7A A6 E7 CA 80 5B 22 19 08 C7 B3 5E 2A 8C F5 A7 23 78 1A 0E F5 D0 84 11.

riv: 9769BFD187B90990AE5FEA4E110B9CF5

Decrypts all the External lv2 versions from pre 1.00 to anything below 3.40.

Here is a small summary on how the self cryptography works.

Basically here are the steps being involved by the loaders:

Loaders all have a static key and iv called respectively erk and riv, those are keys for the first decryption step which are used to decrypt the very first 0x40 bytes of the self's metadata using AES256CBC

Then the result is used as a key and iv to decrypt the rest of the metadata using AES128CTR, finally the decrypted metadata contains the keys and iv for each data sections which are still decrypted through AES128CTR. This security model is based on the fact that the first 0x40 bytes of the self's metadata once decrypted by the static AES256CBC key in the loader should never be the same from one binary to the other. The same goes for any other value used as an AES128CTR key or iv.

Loaders are also involved with inflating the binaries using zlib.

The self authenticity is based on other independent steps, HMAC-SHA1 and ECDSA for the actual signature.

So again the package files need a key and need to be signed.

Can we take out the HDD and put a 3.55 in it?

only if life was that simple. On the ps3 motherboard their is something called a Flash memory, thats where the firmware is kept ( like below )

so if you can solder very well and take the flash memory off without damaging the motherboard or circuits i would love to see the outcome.

Any more questions please list below and i will keep this thread updated.

Please dont groan its just an attempt to clean it up a bit Smile
