I can either buy an old ps3 that is at 3.55 or my other choice is to just buy the e3 flasher and downgrade my existing ps3 and jailbreak from there. Which do you guys think would be smarter to do. I hav jtag-ed xboxs so i am good with components and soldering if there is another way other than the e3 flasher. I have some friends who have been wondering the same so any help would be appreciated.

The E3 Flasher isn't as easy as it looks/sounds. If you fuck up that ribbon cable, you just wasted money unless you buy a $30 replacement.

It's alot cheaper though plus I think you can downgrade any firmware if im correct

i have the same decision to make idk what to do i had a ofw ps3 with 3.55 and i fucken blew it up by accident i let it borrow to my nephew and he updated to play little big madafaken planet now is too late because i gave him the ps3 to keep thats how upset i was.. but money comes and go family doesnt ....
