yes it is m8 .. it was always possible to data transfer from 3.55 to higher firmwares .. only if u want to datat transfer the legit 4.20 ps3 to the 3.55 cfw u will need to spoof the 3.55 to 4.20 or higher

alright thanks thats probably what happened and i couldn't test it out yesterday because i was stuck on the 4.20 kiosk firmware that doesn't allow data transfer
