(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, I've heard the news about the CEX to DEX stuff but I don't really understand what's happening. I tried reading some of the posts but it doesn't really make sense to me. Can someone explain what the point of this conversion is and why its valuable to go through the process. Thanks again!

You can now go from cex to dex mode thats all. Cex is normal firmware and dex is like the best thing to go onto. You can do what ever you like, install pkgs, run them,qa flag it what ever. Its all good if you have a progskeet/e3 flasher or something that can flash your nor/nand in case you get bricked while installing it.

So is there a 4.21 DEX FW so we can play the newest games without TB, or am I getting ahead of myself and what is the likelihood of bricking?

Not sure if there is right now, but even if there is, it probably wouldn't be safe at this point and you would brick your PS3.

im not sure because on firmwares theres a blue ray check, So is your blue ray still in your ps3 or have took it out. If its in then yes as long as it passes the blue ray check. If not then sadly no because your blue ray needs to pass the checker to launch homebrew as homebrew requires a working/ passed blu ray checker

So it is possible to install DEX 4.20 on my OFW 4.20? and use multiman and such. But since my bluray drive is removed it won't start. There isn't anyway to pass that or go around it? And do i need to have the bluray drive in it to do anything. Theres no way to go around teh br check?

So what is the safest version of DEX and can it run Multiman/play backups and such?
