Also any suggestions for a 3.55 CFW i should use, cause i am thinking of updating to 3.55 OFW

i suggest either opening up your PS3 and installing one yourself, (it isnt hard, all it is is a ribbon cable connect and the disk drive is relatively cheap), or there are a couple packages that allow you to download games (although you need the disk drive). the patches can be obtained through blackb0x i believe. and i suggest using kmeaw's 3.55 jailbreak because it has more options and abilities than geohotz. personally i use geohot but that is only because i kept getting errors with kmeaw. i hope this helped.
