Post: Data Transfer Utility - How does it work?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi, I had an idea that you could try and do a data transfer from ps3 to PC by faking MAC Address and using a ps3 file system. I am looking into it, I found some .ELF Files in ps3 firmwares but am unsure about how to read them to find out what packets are sent during it and if you can spoof them and commence a transfer from PC to PS3. You would probably have to put the file structure of the ps3 like /dev_hdd0... On the wiki there is nothing about it. And there is no data transfer emulator or anything. So I'm hoping someone could decyrpt the app and tell me what packets are sent or if anyone knows anything extra about it.

I am going to try and hook up a Ethernet between my Laptop and PS3, Use a proxy on both and see what requests and what the laptop receives, Trying lots of things like Transfer from this and transfer to this ps3 system.

Thanks.
