i dnt repair ylod ps3's it would be better to get a new/used one, but ppl on ebay will bid for ylod one starting around 40-50$
if you plan to get a slim get a 200x or a 250x model if you plan to hack it. do not get 210x,,, 300x model only if you plan not to hack it. its not downgradable, and if its a phat chech L0x and newer phats are good enough to survive with good caring , and internal cleaning of dust and renew of thermal paste. only a backwards compatible if it has never seen the ylod. take extra care to it since its hea sink is not as good as other ps3 models.

i would need to do research for the cheapest / safest way before i setup to ship to uk, and i believe the patches and dvd movies would not be compatibleover there, since its a us version ps3,also with your call of duty's since its set for blus versions in us and uk have bles unless you install all the patches yourself.
