Your PS3 needs to be on firmware 3.55 or lower in order for you to jailbreak it. Since you are on 4.20, it is possible to downgrade by purchasing and installing the E3 Flasher. You can read more about it at the official E3 site: You must login or register to view this content.

The FW 4.20 can't be hacked but it can be downgraded to 3.55 or lower depending on your PS3 model.

No you can not at least not yet some games can be usb modded but thats it
