Install OFW 3.55 then the CFW of your choice like guy above said
i would recommend installing KMEAW CFW !

is your bluray drive plugged in? is it broken ?

The only thing that would cause this problem is if the Logic board on the drive is broken. im pretty sure you didn't connect the wires good.

A UNMARRIED LOGIC BOARD:
Lets you update firmware
Install PKG
Takes and ejects discs but does not recongize them on xmb
Exerts black screen upon running homebrew or PS3 retail apps
A broken or faulty logic board
Will not let you tamper with firmware
Will not take or eject discs
Exerts black screen upon running homebrew or PS3 retail apps

Try remarrying your drive. I had the same problem when I swapped out my drive not knowing it needed to be remarried. I know that's not what happened here but it worth a shot.
