When you start them up you just get a black screen? I had that problem with an old ps3. Does the blu-ray drive function fully? First check that. that would be the reason the pkgs would not be working. Theres not really anything you can do wrong with a pkg. Just to be sure. Install it in the root of your usb, then install it through the function on the ps3. So if all of this is correct you are doing everything right. The only other possibilty would be downloading pkg files that are non working. Let me know.

if the blu-ray drive does not function right the pkg files wont load because i had the same problem but i replaced the blu ray and now it works without any problems
