(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I've been off the scene for a long time (since like 3.66 came out) and I was wondering if it it still possible to downgrade ps3 firmware with these so called e3 flashers I have a slim ps3, bought in spring of 2010, and the model is CECH-2001B. I have the latest firmware (like 4.25 or something).

Also, I heard of different flashers, such as progskeet, just e3, etc. Which should I use and I don't need to solder or anything right? Pretty much just plug it into my USB?

If you think you can plug a downgrade thing just in your usb, you are like 2 years to late
The latest usb downgrade could you do with an FSM dongle
Now you have to open up the ps3 and plug something on the NOR chip on the motherboard

Your ps3 is downgradable. Get a e3 as its solderless and rather easy to install. YouTube will help you there. You have to open the ps3 down to the mobo and install the flasher clip to the NOR chip. Not hard but many people mess it up so take your time. I've done this numerous times with no problem what so ever. It's around $80 but can be used on multiple consoles. Let me know if you need further assistance Smile

Or I can downgrade it for you for less than it will cost you to buy everything.

Ehh idk. I would rather do it myself, so I can switch up and down whenever I need to. I'm sure you're legit, but I just don't want to ship my console somewhere, sorry.
