Your ps3 is downgradable. Get a e3 as its solderless and rather easy to install. YouTube will help you there. You have to open the ps3 down to the mobo and install the flasher clip to the NOR chip. Not hard but many people mess it up so take your time. I've done this numerous times with no problem what so ever. It's around $80 but can be used on multiple consoles.
