So it says the update is version 3.70? then id say it is v4.70 haha, download a new copy of the 3.55 OFW, someone could have uploaded that and labelled it 3.55 to trick some skids into upgrading. If thats not it then make sure you your system firmware says it is 3.55 and you are not spoofing a higher one.

First always update thru the recovery menu to keep errors away.
Second always go back to OFW before switching CFWs.
Third do you have a FW spoofer install making your current CFW showing up as 3.70 like JonoEfthy said? Check your version number in the System Settings. If you are use this thread below.

you cant download plus content with fake plus. thats why its called fake plus, because its fake and you can turn fake plus on without rebug. just get your ps3 registry.
