i have just double checked my bluray drive and the ribbon wasn't in probably and it now works thanks for you help, just another thing it doesn't seem to be connecting to the internet anymore

This was happening to me before. all i did was when you press "x" to start the homebrews hold your ps3 eject button then it should open up. Hold eject button quickly after pressing "x" then the homebrew will work. i hope so
