So im waiting on my pre 3.55 ps3 to arrive and been looking up what to do so here is what i learned so far


Things i have to do

(1) update to 3.55 OFW

(2) install 3.55 CFW

(3) install a spoofer (i dont really know what this is fror what ive seen its a way to fool your ps3 into thinking its up to date and stop it from being accidently updated i could use some help here )

(4) install a file manager like a fps server or something
(5) i also plan on data transfering to reduce risk of getting banned

Yeah you're correct and here is a link to the OFW 3.55, its on the list so find it and don't get the patched version as I am not sure what its for.

And the cfw is your choice, the most used are: Rebug 3.55.2,Rogero v(He has many different versions) and kmeaw.

Also for the file manager I would use multiman which has one built in and also has a ftp server built in as well, but mostly it can be used to listen to music, watch videos, back up your own ps3 games, or download them off the internet and transfer them to the ps3, and many other things.
For data transferring you need a ethernet cable, and a spoofer which as you said makes the ps3 its up to date, and allows you to transfer from your CFW and OFW.
