People spoof their CFW to pretend to be on a higher firmware..

Has anyone yet tried to spoof the 3.55 CFW to a higher firmware than has been released?
Possibly by changing the version logs in the firmware itself.
Tricking the ps3 into believing that the update you are trying to install is a newer 4.31+ update.

I know its not that simple, but maybe that Sony went retarded like last time.
Just a little thought, Im no noob, just wanted to throw a little idea out there.

It's ok for posting a theory but this has already been done, with kmeaw spoofer, spoofs the Fw to 9.99, all that does is stops the ps3 from asking for a update when trying to go online, nice thinking tho!
