I believe yes it will always be like that because after 3.60 Sony patched the exploit to get CFW but if you have 3.55 you still have the exploit and are able to instal cfw

yes you have to be on 3.55 because after that the 3.56 fixed sonys epic fail which meant that a new exploit needs to be found for all consoles which are stuck on 3.56+ including the 3k and 4k models.

Chances are it will stay like this now as there is no need for them to try to get everyone else on CFW when they now have everything they wanted.

CFW + PSN + FREE GAMES why would they need to look for a way for everyone to have this?

2 above comments = fail, there is a way of getting cfw on 4.30 -- without 3.55 but we just not found a way how, remember month ago we was saying oh no cfw on 3.60 + ever again, and then lv0 keys was found.. i wouldnt say never, and i wouldnt say months, if it is to be released it should be weeks away at the max I think

Lol someone clearly does not no much they have not got the lv0 keys they have the bootldr hacked which is the top of the chain of trust now and Lv0 is under that. There will be no weeks to wait because it won't happen it took them 2 years to figure out what fail0verfl0w found out from the appldr so what's to say this will make much of a difference. After all they still need to find an exploit within the current software to be able to get OFW to allow CFW to go over it which has not been found. They can have CFW all the way up to whatever but without an exploit it's meaningless for people on 3.56+ without a flasher to get to 3.55 to upgrade again or for the 3k & 4k models check ps3devwiki and various scene sites they will say exactly what I have said if wishful thinking is helping you to get through this then so be it but it won't matter without that exploit.

unless you can downgrade and im sure its only certain models that can .3k 4 k cant example cech 3001b
