Now my ps3 is fucked and wont show on the screen. I tried using the recovery menu to re-install 3.55 OFW but after it's prepared it says something about 3.70? I just cancelled it as I don't want to upgrade. If anyone can help I'll be willing to pay :p

did you try googleing how to fix ps3 rsod fix theres tuts and things to help you and try installing 3.55 again and post what it says about 3.70

Yeah, when I installed the 3.55 OFW, it said '3.70 Firmware Update' at the top. I just cancelled it straight away, don't wanna lose my 3.55.

I had RSOD and you need to install NotherOS then install RSOD fix pkg. I tried all others and they didn't work. PM for link to stuff. And more INFO

You get prompted to update to 3.70 because you have a game in your ps3 that requires 3.70+ to play it. Simply take the disk out and then try to reinstall your cfw.
