its legit it backs up a patch or muitiple patchs on your ps3. Although 30$ doesn't sound like a fair price

I believe this wont not work unless you already had patches on your PS3, and his back ups would not work on anyone else's PS3 but his.

You can send your ps3 to someone you trust who has a 3.55 and they can data transfer for you or just buy your own 3.55 ps3
