My blueray doesnt read games though so i always get the 80010017 error...Can i install a mw3 eboot to the ps3 then transfer it to my slim ps3(on current 4.31 ofw) and be able to host on the game? If i can, how?

Ive the exact same problem. Tried this and still get an error when I start up mw3

The Mw3 EBOOT's wont run on PS3 OFW, but i believe the new REBUG CFW or Rogeros has an option to run games without blueRay
