Post: Can we install PKGs on 4.30? Not Run..

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi, I was wondering if we there was a way to install non sony signed pkgs, Not run them I mean like what KaKaRoTo accomplished. He can install whatever to the ps3 but not run them due to the ECDSA Algorithim. I would like to install a few of my own PKGs (not run!) But I am unsure of how the dev's have done it. You see we can't install any sort of modified firmware on 3.56+ as of the pup validity check. So how else has KaKaRoTo managed to get a pkg installer which installs anything onto the ps3?
I found out that the file that needs to be patched is nas_plugin.sprx but we can't decrypt that without the private app key for 4.30. And if we did we couldn't install our firmware..

Can someone give me more info on this?

Currently I have made all the key files for the new keys (4.00+) And managed to make a MFW which enables the install of PSeudo retail packages but I think it might brick? And also it could work if we get a shop firmware than patch that package installer..

Thanks.

Is it not possible to use some of the 4.21 .pkgs made for the newest CFWs? It would make sense... I'm sorry if I am just spouting BullS, I just really want you to progress Winky Winky
