Well if you like to mod games or the system files then on 3.55 you can FTP to your console's hard drive and see all the files. You can download free games and as far as i know multiman supports all games, you just need to find the 3.55 eboot fix file, which is the file you mainly edit to get mods in a game. Then the obvious stuff you can download patches and other stuff from here and host modded lobbies online. But I would definitely upgrade from 40gb to at least 320gb. Hope this helps you decide. Depending on the price it's a great buy, but personally I wouldn't buy a fat ps3.

I had a budget, so I bought it but it said it was in great condition. I would have bought a slim but people we're asking too much for them. I am looking forward to free games, and if overheating is an issue I will get a fan to put behind or underneath it, and I can always buy another Ps3 hhrddrive from ebay or amazon.

well mods for games also its not mm thats supports the games just so u know. its the encryption keys within the ps3 its self mm has the ability to rip games from discs as for gaia manager i wouldnt bother with that mm is much better lol with all the new releases of late! lets just say every game is now pretty much free now. so you could get 3.55 ofw if it isnt already then get rogero 4.30 or 4.31 entirely upto you but a jailbroken ps3 in the right hands! ;P its gold dust lol worth a lot more than what u pay for it on the basis of what it does and can do and run on it! ;P <3
