I would recommend to look for a 3.55 ofw update, then switch over to 3.55 cfw, and if you want to find a decent 4.21 or 4.30 cfw. Personally I'm using 4.30 E3 but I think Rebug or regro is better than E3.

P.S do not go online with your account on a cfw for now. Sony will auto ban your console and your account.

OMG i wish i had a ps3 on such a low firmware i miss it so much the xmb was much better anyway enough nastalgia. all you need to jaibreak is a usb flash drive and any custom firmware you want to use. To install the custom firmware open up your flash drive and make folders in this order inside each other PS3/UPDATE/insert your .pup file in the update folder. then plug in your flash drive to your ps3 then go to settings and then system update.
Then choose update via storage media then just follow the steps hope it helps

ok you need to search up ps3 3.55 ofw download (oficial firmware) and then install it on your ps3 then search for ps3 3.55 cfw download (custom firmware) then install that after installing OFW

This 3.55 Ofw where would I get and when I get it I have to install it on USB then update my ps3 via the USB is that right thank you for responding quick I really appreciate it

if you search it up on google it would be every where and you need to make a folder on your USB called " PS3 " and in side the PS3 folder make one called " UPDATE " than when you have the 3.55 OFW drag it on and install it then after that you Drag your CFW int to the folder and overwrite it then install that
