No you cannot extract out of a back up.
You can just put the USB in the console and go to "game save data" and press triangle on the save which you wish to copy.

yes sir but my ofw is on 4.31 (First gen slim ps3) and my cfw is on 4.30 E3 (first gen phat ps3)
I would downgrade my hacked ps3 but currently my cousin broke my E3 Flasher and now I have to wait for a while until I get enough money to buy another one.

Just do a data transfer from your OFW to your CFW. You will need to spoof the CFW so it seems that they are both on the same firmware. Rogero 4.30 v2.00 automatically spoofs to 4.31. Once the files are on your CFW you can freely browse your HDD

Is it possible to switch over from 4.30 E3 to 4.30 v2.00 without flashing?

oh and use recovery mode (google it)
or if you want to be even safer than the safest You must login or register to view this content.
downgrade using this first. then go to roger 4.30v2.03 via recovery
