You talkin to me?
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright I just finished making a back up of my ps3 on to a usb and I want to know if there is a way to view it or extract it?

The reason I'm doing this is to get some game saves out of there to mess with them.

No you cannot extract out of a back up.
You can just put the USB in the console and go to "game save data" and press triangle on the save which you wish to copy.

The problem is that I can't copy certain saves (I.E Dark Souls, BF3, Dead Island, ETC.)

yes sir but my ofw is on 4.31 (First gen slim ps3) and my cfw is on 4.30 E3 (first gen phat ps3)
I would downgrade my hacked ps3 but currently my cousin broke my E3 Flasher and now I have to wait for a while until I get enough money to buy another one.

Just do a data transfer from your OFW to your CFW. You will need to spoof the CFW so it seems that they are both on the same firmware. Rogero 4.30 v2.00 automatically spoofs to 4.31. Once the files are on your CFW you can freely browse your HDD Winky Winky

Is it possible to switch over from 4.30 E3 to 4.30 v2.00 without flashing?

I don't think there's any way to do it.
