I already had the ylod and fixed it which was annoying enough. Now about 2 and a half months later I have another problem. You know how with the ylod you turn on your ps3, it goes green, then yellow, then flashes red. What has happened with me is I turn it on, get green, proceed to my XMB screen start any game, get into a match and soon after the console turns off with this blinking red light.:puke::puke::mad:

What I have tried to fix it

• Letting the console cool off
  
• Moving it into a completely open space
  
• putting a fan against the intake
  
• vaccuming all the vents to clean out dust (I also cleaned out all the dust from the system during my ylod repair)
  
• creating a stand to let the heat dissipate from the bottom
  
• plugging the console into a different outlet
  
• playing different games

So everyone says it is due to overheating... BUT HOW!! My ps3 is no where near being hot and once it is off it doesn't even feel like the fans are blowing out any air... the bottom is cool the top is cool.


Can anyone help me and advise what to do?

I guess that means your ps3 finally died, since i heard ylod repaired ps3s die definitely a few months later.

I have a CECHB01 model and right when I switched over from 4.30 E3 to 4.30 Rogero my ps3 got a blinking red light and yold on me right after. It was working perfectly before I switch and I keep it in an open area with a laptop fan on top of it.

damn. so should I downgrade or what???

I really don't want the console to be done and I am NOT good with soldering and such can anyone send me to a thread where someone will do it for me or will one of you do it for me? I know I will mess up the system trying it.

Also can I get my data off the hdd. I know that these systems encrypt the hdd but I really need all my data thats on it.
