HE is Probably using PS_Unban
if Not You will get a Ban error Code 80002a27
Thats what it is doing to both of My 3.55 ps3s
and using PS_Unban makes me play online again

yes, you can get ban. i lost my main account of 4 years but you can get around the console ban and play online but i only do it with a dummy account. just be careful.
