i was in the same boat as you not so long ago until the release of rebug 4.21 and multiman 04.14.00
you need to update to rebug 4.21 then convert to dex and install multiman
use a usb to emulate a disc icon on the xmb then u can launch all backups with no problem at all pm if u get stuck as i know this lil guide was beyond rough xD

once on dex and u have your dex and cex flashes on your usb u can switch between within a max of 2 mins

with out the blue ray drive ... games will not work no videos.. thats wat i experience
