1. What are these DEX/REX firmwares.
2. I have 3.55 kmeaw, is it recommended to stay or go to 4.xx cfw.
3. Can you downgrade from 4.xx cfw back to 3.55
4. In the 4.xx cfw, is there more of a variety of games I can run on multiman?

Yeah I've been wondering some of these questions too hope you get your answer's.

1) DEX is a debug station ps3 which doesn't sound like you need, mainly for developers. REX is both CEX(retail)/DEX(Debug) kernal which means you can switch between both firmwares but causes a lot of heat and performance issues.
2) Your choice really, 4.xx firmwares do everything 3.55 can but can play all the newest games without eboot fixes. Note: Any homebrew needs to be signed to work with 4.xx firmwares. Most apps you probably have will need to be redownloaded on for 4.xx(excluding some like MultiMan)
3) Yes you can and there are plenty of ways to, but the best is to QA Flag Toggle your ps3 before updating to 4.xx, search for how to do that.
4) Yes, no eboot fixes needed meaning no compatibility issues

Alright then, so currently, which 4.xx cfw is the best?
Also, with the 4.xx, can I sign on?
I currently play online with my kmeaw 3.55, would I be able to in the 4.xx?

keep kmeaw 3.55, theres more apps for it. also if u want to do mw3 xp lobbys theres alot more eboots for 3.55

Im trying to do xp lobbies but since im host, its not sticking. Is there a way I can make it stick without giving someone my account to play in my lobby?
