i got a ps which has OFW running at the time it GLOD on me its been like that for nearly a year now so i cannot remember what firmware it was on when it died.would it still work if i installed the latest OFW using this method ?

Yes It Would Just Go Download 4.31 OFW And InstallIt Them Boom You Are Set!
