When I installed the new drive, none of the Jailbroken "apps" (File Manager, various Spoofers) would work. Also, when I insert a disk in to the new drive the disc doesn't show up on the PS3. When I put the old broken drive in to the PS3 all the "apps" work fine. Someone please help me!

You probably need to Format your whole ps3 then Change the drive.

yeah, just google "ps3 3.55 blu ray bypass cfw" i couldn't find a download but there is a 3.55 cfw that bypasses the check of a blu-ray drive. you just gotta find it

I will try this first, then if it doesn't work I'll try the other thing.

So, I formatted the whole PS3 which took about 3 hours with the broken drive in there. No luck. I am currently formatting it again with the new, working, drive. Hope it works, this stuff is so frustrating.
