When I installed the new drive, none of the Jailbroken "apps" (File Manager, various Spoofers) would work. Also, when I insert a disk in to the new drive the disc doesn't show up on the PS3. When I put the old broken drive in to the PS3 all the "apps" work fine. Someone please help me!

I had that Problem You need to install OFW 3.55 and then re Jail break it and Install your apps again its a lot of work i know but thats what i Did. Maybe someone else knows a faster easier way but thats what i did

I think the reason is because the blueray player needs to be updated with the actual system. Try what TheModZKing said and report back.

I updated back to OFW 3.55 and it still didn't work.

Are you sure you have the ribbon cable in right? Same with the plug?
