new to the hacking ps3 thing .. I have installed the e3 flasher and have 5 valid dumps .. My question is , am I still going to need a dongle and service mode? Is there a up to date guide for this .. I found a couple guides but arent sure if they are up to date.

you will need a dongle for service mode and there has been no need of a change in guides for using e3, except if you used the e3 firmware that copied 3 back ups at once you will need to rename one of your bkpps3X.bin to bkpps3.bin.

yea first go back to 3.55 ofw and then install every CFW u want

lol no you must reset you hashes after installing 3.55 from e3 flasher, or you will brick, unless the firmware is higher than 3.55.

yea and ur ps3 have to came with 3.55 or lower firmware

lol .... geesh guys your confusing me .. My system was a cech L version 1 so yes it did come with below 3.55. where is a good place near or in Canada to buy a dongle , for service mode? Now do I need to go down to 3.55 ofw first or what?
