I don't believe there is a way of doing this on 3.55 cfw. However you can access the PS Store on Rogero's 4.30 CFW. You can still host challenge lobbies and what not. And since you do meet the prerequisites to install Rogero 4.30 I'd give it a try. If you don't like it you can easily downgrade back to 3.55 from Rogero.

If you are interested in Rogero 4.30 cfw just search around the forums for a tut or just Google Rogero 4.30 and I guarantee that you will find what you are looking for.

I've been searching the forums a bit and can't quite find an exact answer to what I'm looking to do. I'd hate to make a new thread and clutter the forums more. So RathHavoc could you please point me in the right direction? Here is my deal: I have KMEAW 3.55 currently, but am ready to upgrade to Rogero, Rebug, or some other 4.30 CFW so I can play my newer disc games without having to search for EBOOT fixes. Could I simply use the Rogero PS3UPDAT.PUP and install firmware via storage media? Should I delete all of my homebrew apps that are running on my KMEAW 3.55? Should I disable the 4.31 spoofer before I update? Is it as simple as that? Or should I turn my PS3 back into a OFW 3.55 before installing Rogero 4.30? Thanks for your help man. Sorry for the wall of text, line break doesn't work anymore on NGU with Windows 8.

I'd follow this tut that Rogero released. Long as you follow everything step by step you'll be fine.
