(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); It's been about 6 years since sony released PS3, and I think it's time to move on to the next console, the PS4, there has been a lot of rumors about this console, expected to arrive before the end of 2013, in fact they have said that both microsoft and sony will each hold their own “Apple-style press conferences” in late March, according to the February issue of Game Informer (via VideoGamer) before the E3 event, my question is what are you hoping to see in sony's next generation console? With all the rumors there are many things to speak about, I personally would love to see something that has not been rumored much and I think is one of the most important steps to making the next gen consoles feel next gen, and that is upgradeable hardware, and before people go "Oh I wouldn't feel good if my friends could run a game that I can't run" Well, that wouldn't happen if all games could run on PS4's default specs, after all the whole purpose of a console is gaming, wouldn't you like it if it was the best at what is made for? PC's are designed to do much more than gaming therefore are more expensive, and I know PC monitors are capable of resolutions higher than HDTVs, so until there is a change to 4K technology for TV screens there won't be much progress on that front, but take a look at this: You must login or register to view this content. I know the price will be ridiculous when it comes out but after 4-5 years it should be able to drop to consumer level at $3k, it could mean that it's gonna be used for next gen consoles, it's possible.

Hopefully the rumour aren't true and they keep duel shock

Bringing PSN up to the same standard as XBL would be a good start. Hope they keep the same style of UI across the board too some areas the PS3 UI is ugly.
Make dual shock a little bit bigger and curved.

Also hope for massive deals to download only games.

i really really dont want them to get rid of the controllers that we already use o.O

looking to see a whole lot better inter face then they dumb xmb.. and tbh idk wtf else they could add other than more memory and better graphics chip and better processor..

Cross game chat is a must and I really hope that they continue to offer Free Online Gaming. Hope they keep the Dual Shock 3 as well.

i heard they are removing the dual shock 3.

I hope they keep the controllers, unless they make like a quick access little screen in the middle for PSN, XMB and maybe store?
Also, I expect to see added features like Cross Gaming Chat, like all of you above said, continue with the Free Online Gaming, get rid of PS random Freezing (PS2 froze too much, PS3 much less, let's hope "Orbis" gets rid of it), obviously the YLOD must disappear as someone recalled above, major changes in Hardware (duuuhh), maybe any-phone and PC synch for music and videos. Surely the latter is impossible or will be hard as they are very concerned about security and lets say that if this happens the PS will be easy to breach. Anyways it will always be breached, but this will make it somehow easier.
Furthermore, I expect no major changes in design as they want to keep the prices low and not as when the PS3 came out.



That's why all the above members are hoping for Sony to keep the controllers...
