Hello my good lad, if you retrieve your console id from a banned ps3 console then the id you retrieve is of no use

When sony bans consoles they ban the ID of the console.

So Retrieving the already banned ID would be useless in a sense, but if you truely want to retrieve it you can run the homebrew psidpatch (3.55 link You must login or register to view this content.)

When you run it the Consoleid show to begin with should be your original id

Now if you wish to play on your banned console, you must acquire a non banned console id and patch it onto the banned console (everytime the console is started)
This is how you can "unban a ps3"
In short:
One does not simply use a console id after being banned, ever..

Well put sir, just making sure cause someone said on another thread that it was possible but i was sure it wasn't
