if ur on 4.30 or 4.31 yes u can downgrade to 3.55 but 1st u will have to look at ur ps3 serial number which is located at the back of ur ps3 it shud be cech then starting number shud be 2 or 1 but if its 3 or 4 then downgrade for tht is not available yet and yes u can switch back to 4.31 or 4.30 but u will have to update back to official 3.55 b4 updating bak again to 4.30 or4.31 for safety
