Post: Help retrieving OFW 4.31 deviceID.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I need a little help, I have 4 ps3's on OFW 4.31 and 2 ps3's on cfw rogero 4.30 v2.05. Sadly one of my rogero have been banned so I'm trying to change my console I'd to my OFW one as I don't care about getting that banned.

I have installed wireshark and made a proxy server for my ps3 (OFW) and sniffed the packets. I searched for binary Unicode in wireshark as it says in your tutorials and I manage to find the deviceID string, but next to it, it doesn't show the deviceID it just says

DeviceID"":resolution"": ect ect...

I'm guessing its still crypted. How do I make it visible so I can see the deviceID ? Or had the newest OFW released patched it so you can't obtain the id anymore,?

Or is there another way around getting / sniffing out my consoleID.

Hope you can help.

Thanks

I am having the same issue. I am on OFW 4.31 and I just finished a Playstation Store update as well. I tried Wiresark as well as Charles Web Debugging Proxy. Both have the same results: deviceId":"","screenResolution" Does anyone have any ideas?

bugger, thanks for the info as i kept trying new stuff but always the same outcome of no deviceID. Do you know what was the earliest firmware version they did to patch it, as i have afew 3.70+ lying about too.
