You mean PSID Patch? Because I have never heard of PSNID patch and even if there was such a thing, wouldn't that only work for a psn account and not the console? Either way if PSID Patch is what you meant, it only works if you have a valid console ID to replace the old one with every time you boot up anyways. Generating a valid one randomly is pretty slim to none chance...

Yes, it's PSIDPatch. And you would have to use it every time you turn on your PS3 I believe.
