(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay, so I have never jailbroken my current PS3 which is at 4.30. Is it possible to downgrade it to 3.55 or jailbreak it and then downgrade it?

I believe if its on that new of a firmware you will need to install a flasher and then have the cfw flashed onto your ps3.

Hmm.. Would I need to flash it onto my PS3 for any CFW at all?

yes sir no way after 3.55 to jailbreak unless you use flasher.
