I don't know for sure about ebay, I mean you never know even if they seem trustworthy a FW is easy to spoof, I was in your position last year and your best option is to look for a local gaming/Pc repair shop, I got mine for 200 at a repair shop they had 2 in stock and they also knew what cfw was so they knew not to update it!

I suggest that you find a cheap fully functional PS3 for $100-$200. Then, get it downgraded for $40-$60
