(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i'm curious to see what the best CFW for 4.31 is. As i'm looking at making my OFW 4.31 to CFW 4.31 or grabbing another ps3 making it CFW.

What are some suggestions as i'm new to using CFW and wanna learn more about how to use them example emulation and trophy unlocking etc etc.

One person i talked to has Cobra CFW where they can emulate anything off it.

miralatijera is making some good developments and alot fo the other devs like rogero, team sgk and other are all just trying to repllicate what he has done so far shit rogero actually went to the point of taking miralatijera 4.40 cfw and just changing the cold boot and nothing else xD you could check all md5 hashes and all were an exact match LOL, but ye imo miralatijera is atm making serious head way with his fw's check this one out You must login or register to view this content. also with this fw there is a dex mode but this ones even easier than rebug (if thats possible ) all you have to do is put a special lv2.self made by mrt and load that with rebug toolbox and your in dex mode

IMHO, miralatijera CFW is too complicated with the way you have to operate this "Core".

Rebug is much more user friendly with its Rebug Toolbox.

well tbh its not actually that complicated, all it is is just another way of making changes to his fw without making people download a new updated pup n so on, once you have activated all the flags you would like to use IF ANY thats it no more need to worry about the core its done and from there it operates as a normal cfw, and when he releases a new update wack it on usb put in far right slot and turn on ps3 job done and even rebug are starting to replcate mrt or atleast arent bettering him or getting any further any quicker look at 4.30 rebug rex that wasnt released until atleast a week after mrt did his thing yet again n bypassed all the check that sony implemented into 4.30 dex to stop converted users installing, fact is complicated or not EVERY cfw is doing nothing but immitating mrts, also whats wrong with ps3ita? that imo is a good sturdy cfw with no bugs that ive came across dont get me wrong rebug is good but i just dont like the way people say u have rebug dex :puke: xD

Rebug also release Update Packages to their CFW so you can update without having to re-install the whole PUP. You can also turn features and flags on and off, but from the Toolbox which is easier than the Core.

Moreover, mrt has lots of issues such as controllers not syncing without a cable and a messed up OSD in the video player.

Also, it's not a race, it's not about who release their CFW first, it's about releasing a reliable and stable CFW no matter how long it takes, especially if it's not needed yet. The main reason Rebug take a long time to release their CFW is because they wait for the DEX version to be able to create REX, that's why it took them so long to release 4.30 REX and that's why they haven't released 4.40 REX yet because 4.40 DEX is not yet available. There's no need for 4.40 CFW yet in any case because everything still works on 4.30 CFW.

I don't see how mrt and ps3ita CFWs are any better than Rebug, there's nothing they can do that Rebug can't, and Rebug is more user friendly and easier to setup.

rebug is for noobs thats how xD every 12 year old child uses rebug, i personally use dex if u cant tell by my fw choices, but as far as dex fw goes rebug has nothing to offer other than quite a bad version in there rex fw sure rebug is a very stable cfw n i mean VERY but so is ps3ita and yes as with all things new there will be bugs thats life man nothing is perfect first time also this is why having 2 cfw ps3 is paramount as if one is having any problem that you mention you can just use a different one not to mention he fixed that problem withing less than 24 hours :| its hardly end of the world to wait 24 hours or soo in order to get ur ps3 working just how u want it...

The best CFW has to Geohots 3.55 CFW.

The DEX in Rebux REX is not a bad version, there's nothing it can't do that other DEX CFWs can, but you have the advantage of having both CEX and DEX in your FW and you can swap between the 2 with one push of a button... ps3ita DEX doesn't have CEX, so if you want CEX, you have to reconvert again and install a CEX CFW. Also, ps3ita is 4.21, Rebug is 4.30

Geohot's 3.55 CFW is one of the earliest CFWs out there and afaik it only runs homebrew, it cannot load backups!

if you used full dex before you would realise that rebugs dex doesnt do all the things real dex fw do for instance on rebug you cannot view memory of bo2 zombies (this is just one game im sure theres ALOT more out there) also there are options in full dex that aent available in rebugs fake dex and why would you even want cex? there is no point what so ever for it if u are already on dex, dex over rex/cex all day imo and anyone that uses there ps3 on a regular basis to investigate things will DEFINATLY tell you the same real dex all the way

Maybe, tbh I don't use DEX and I don't need it because I just play games offline and I don't like cheating and modding (RTM), especially online. I mean, why would you want to cheat?? It's unfair for other players and this is the main reason Sony started banning consoles...
