OK LOOK, I'm just sharing what I found. I DONT KNOW IF THIS ACTUALLY WORKS. I just want to share it with you guys. It's a complete copy pasta
Could this be the actual OFW 4.31 CFW?
This is a private scene only archive - DO NOT SPREAD THIS LINK! As all keys are now known and many of those are now public across the sites TNB is submitting this as possible release candidate for Jailbreak for 4.31. One site has already leaked this as a earlier build so we move to push for an official scene release before the money makers move in once more. We all know sony is moving towards the PS4 development now but they have held back a major network upgrade which will surelly shut the door once again!
Therefor please test this file and post results in the IRC channel.
Download the file and change file extension from .CFW to .RAR before extracting the files
Using the latest complete keyset all homebrew must be signed accordingly with latest known keys. Console spoofing can be enabled or disabled via the network xmb.
The following information is from an external source you will recognise. It is wrong could someone correct and re upload please
PS3 Jailbreak The Story So Far
The PS3 has had a tough history relating to jail-breaking. There have been quite a few attempts to achieve a functioning Playstation 3 Jailbreak. Early on a lot of time was wasted seeking a Java exploit in the BlueRay drive. But this would be in vain as nothing beneficial came from it. Linux was included with the PS3 around this time from the the introduction of otherOS. The great thing about Linux was in fact the ability to probe the PS3 software and firmware. A way was found of glitching the memory within the PS3 to access the hypervisor was discovered by geohot. The community was outraged by what transpired next! What was first thought to be an awful april fools joke turned out to be real with the removal of otheros All hope seemed to be lost and the scene was getting much quieter again. After getting the blame for otheros beign removed by sony Geohot leaves the scene.
PSJailbreak announced their new dongle in August simply by sending a pre release to a single store. Such big news of course went viral and even hit the BBC new pages. The jaded scene called fake on the video at first. but as more details was released it became clear that this was indeed the real deal. Pre orders for the PSJailbreak dongle were huge. The huge demand saw many people without a dongle for weeks. During this time Sony rushed out a new firmware update. This blocked unknown USB devices from working. The new firmware successfully blocked the PSJailbeak dongle But it did mean however all games up to that point could now be backed up. It meant the end of playing them on PSN though. And so it was fine for a while but with the Christmas releases getting nearer the future was uncertain. GT5 was out in October and couldnât be backed up. This required the new higher firmware to run
It wasnât until nearly Christmas that a way was found to play it on CFW. CCC saw failoverflow announce to the world Sony's mistake in public key generating. New years eve and the next day saw the scene light up with the first news of the public keys. Geohot released his hello world on new years day Then in a move that angered sony he released his jailbreak. This one small pup file patched out the key checks enabling both homebew and PSN access. Running backups on geohots jailbreak was hard to setup. A spate of CFW releases saw many bricks but most settled on the Keamw or Rebug CFW.
This was the golden age with full PSN access for CFW users. Cheating became rife though especially on the Call of Duty games. More server monitoring was added to the games to catch the cheaters. The PSN account server was hacked around this time by a mystery hacker. Up to 50 million PSN users had details including credit card information stolen Realising what has happened Sony shut down the entire network. Its over a month before the new PSN is open again. When it came back the additional security meant forget about PSN for CFW users. Some people moved to the so called Dev Network for the online gaming. As new games come out they are uplayable due to firmware restrictions.
A split occurs in the scene between the homebrew and 'backups' crew which divides the scene until a new dongle was released by true blue. This needed their own eboots to run the backup games. How much this had to do with Paradox is unknown but they were to release the Eboots. Duplex became famous for a large release of PSN games sparking rumors that they had the new keys. Many people began to suspect TrueBLue had access to higher keys than the 3.55 ones everyone else had, then out of the blue someone leaked the 3.60 private public keys! The 3.60 keys didnt however lead to a new firmware as by now the OFW was up to 4.11. Obviously Duplex didnt like the built in DRM of the TB dongle and started to try to crack it. Very quickly they started releasing many of the TB eboots to work on any CFW. True Blue themselves released a statement that they would be updating the dongle and releasing 4.11 games. but this never came to light Maybe this is the last we have seen of TB! Not likely. Another big development to note is the new found ability to convert from CEX to DEX. this means running homebrew and backups without the need for the keys at all. Or course the drawback of the ps3 dex unit is it will never be able to access psn. From that point of view then its obvious that if you are to keep PSN and backups Firmware 4.21 needs to be jailbroken. That way online gaming is kept as well as the ability to run the latest games. It should be noted as well that by access to PSN this must still include the ability to purchase from the store.
