I have a ps3 Slim 500 GB running on 4.31 or 4.32. It just run on the latest firmware. I have been thinking if I remove the HDD and try to install the Update file for the 3.55 and jailbreak my ps3 with that ? Is that possible or not and how does it work?

:LOL: Doing that will mess up your ps3 , you need to first fin out whats the lowest firmware your ps3 can go, then if it goes to 3.55 or lower you can get a eflasher to downgrade it

No, you would have to flash the system, and that is if your system is downgradable to 3.55 or lower. Sony's pretty butthurt about CFW, but I can see why.
